"Hello my name is..."

The above quote was probably warn out on July 20th, when TFC threw a mess of newbies onto the pitch against FC Dallas. So many new signings came in that week, and it all looked so messy but promising. Flash forward to now. All those signings are now finally settled (for the most part), but there's this new guy on Waking the Red.

So just like Terry Dunfield on his first day of practise, I am battling for the attention of the coach. Only the coach in this analogy is you, the reader. And more specifically your attention.

My name is Keaton Robbins, and I'm the newest contributor/ writer on your most favouritest Toronto FC blog. Below the jump, I'll explain more about what we're trying to accomplish by bringing me on.

Star-divide

I'm not going to lie, I'm a rambler. There will be times that you've thought you've stumbled upon Red Nation Online by accident (I know, inappropriate joke about long soccer story posts, but seriously, I love those guys).

Waking the Red is all about taking that very serious obsession of yours, i.e Toronto FC, and doing the only thing a Toronto Sports Fan can do. Laugh, and cry (and I mean cry hard, like that Milwaukee Brewers super fan girl kind of cry) about our favourite team in Red and White.

I'm here to talk it out with you. I'm here to bring a large amount of sarcasm to a humorously ran team. I am stuck with TFC until I die, and I'm almost certain you guys are too. The honeymoon has ended, the stands aren't always full anymore, and it rains way too much on game days. But my word, we love reading about our team.

I'm totally open for comments and critiques, but most of all I'm pumped for tomorrow.

And I hope you are too.

You can follow me on Twitter under the alias @Keato_street_oh.

(Also, I'll be at the Duke of Gloucester snapping photos tomorrow of drunk guys for the viewing of the big CCL match up against a Maicon Santos- less FC Dallas. If you're there, I'd love to chat all things TFC with you.)

Waking the Red is a blog about Major League Soccer's Toronto FC, as well as occasional bits about other MLS and Canadian football. Match previews, reports, opinion, bias and plenty of MLSE related cynicism, get it all here.
