Reggie Lambe Set to sign with TFC... Again!!
This is an update on the previous post about Reggie Lambe signing with TFC, by the same Bermuda newspaper who reported he was trialling with TFC in October. Basically the article found here suggests that he will put pen to paper on a contract in the next few days and he can join the team immediately as a "discovered player" and that way can bypass the transfer window.
Lambe, a Bermudan international midfielder, played for Ipswich town in the English Championship, and although he only made a few appearances there, as well as making a few loan appearances for Bristol Rovers, he does have some quality and is only 20. Paul Scope the coach of the Bermuda Hogges is supposedly a good friend of Paul Mariner and the two clubs have some kind of official partnership going on, and that relationship seems about to bear fruit with the discovery and signing of Lambe.

Possibly a Rightwinger??
Hopefully if he is a winger he could play on the right where it is clear we have no one to suitably fit that role; And excellent editing by the way very much appreciated.
a good right winger would be an excellent addition. soolsma’s ok, but not really anything to get exited about, marosevic doesn’t entirely convince me either.
I’d like to see him given a try there, if it doesn’t work out, it’ll be back to the old reliable soolsma I suppose.

thanks for posting
you are apparently very on top of the news from Bermuda.
had been wondering if anything would happen with this, and here we are, looks like it will.
as long as he’s not going to be on too much money, this looks like a decent signing. another gamble, but worth a shot.

I like this move but then want them to shed yourassowsky for the sake of international slots. Think they could be better used then this guy but if the price is right…
Might call the club to get an official no comment on this tonight.

Haha ya I've got the Bermuda angle covered
Honestly I just troll the internet for any relevant sports news for my teams, the stuff you can find is pretty interesting sometimes. Now if I could only read dutch or spanish I would be able to find out more about what Jonathan De Guzman has told them about the CMNT situation.
P.S. Can you just imagine JDG2 and Hoillet my goodness!!
If you find a good dutch interview from jdg2 send it my way. I have a translation service available to me in the form of being from a dutch family

two things jump out from the article
"From now until January Reggie has been secured as a ‘discovered player’ for Toronto FC,"
so i guess we’ve officially registered him as our discovery with the league, just ned to actually sign him now.
“Reggie Lambe is set to put pen-to-paper on a lengthy contract”
Don’t like the word lengthy in that, but not too worried, i imagine it’ll be your standard sort of thing where there’s a lot of club options that might make it lengthy, while allowing us to back out if it all goes wrong. Hopefully so anyway.

Actually first blog to roll out this news
Just have noticed there’s a bunch of blogs that have picked up this story I wonder if they found it on their own or read the tweets or checked out this site first. I’m actually quite proud that I’m the first one in North America to pick up the story and we had the previous rumour months ago in October so thank you random google searches and the Bermuda Royal Gazette made my day haha.
indeed
think waking the red is still a long long way from that kind of exclusive, damn jobs getting in the way of things.

this is my favourite TFC blog
I want to help grow this blog, it’s honestly the best TFC blog out there no joke
That right there is what we aim for. We know we can’t provide certain elements of coverage that say even Canadian Soccer News or the big networks will bring but we can bring a lot of quality content from what remains a true fans perspective. I always enjoy it when we get good fan posts like this one to fill in the spots that the three of us miss out on some times.
