Around SBN: Welcome To A Bizarre Afternoon With Donald Driver

Looks like the club will have to maintain an eye on the horizon for depth players, particularly at the CB position, as Andy Iro and Peri Marosevic will not be returning next season with TFC

what????

we’ll have more on this later, but after a very very busy couple of hours at work, this is the first I’m hearing of this, thanks for posting it.

Still shocked about Peri. Cast off from FCD, performed decently here – got minutes, scored some goals, easily a goto bench guy; where’s he going?

really? marosevic was a bench guy at best, and an erratic one at that. he had an expensive contract (GA last year so it didn’t matter). I’d like to hope the best they offered him was a huge pay cut. probably he wasn’t quite ready to stomach that. should be interesting to see what he does next.

I won’t miss his douchey hair, sideburns and look at me boots.

Didn’t say I was going to miss him; only that I was surprised that he turned them down….don’t see him with a ton of prospective teams beating down his door.

ah, then i misunderstood, my apologies. yes, i agree he should have snapped off whatever kind of deal we were offering.

Might get another mls deal but not at the rate he must think he deserves to have turned down TFC. I image the would have offered something in the 60k range to him.

Iro I think we all saw coming after the news of the past week or so

No worries; evil TTC drivers can have that kind of effect on people. ;) Perhaps I didn’t phrase it quite clearly enough – upon rereading it could have seemed as though I was going to miss him and/or thought it was a great loss. Neither of which are true.

not to mention his number, i almost forgot about that. good riddance to anyone with a number higher than 40 i say, and it’s very grudging that I’ll accept over 30.

Completely agree re: his number – very aggravating.

Notice how no one mentions Iro? If he leaves MLS I feel as though he’s just going to fade away & become a trivia point in a future WTR countdown. For his sake I hope the Nottingham rumours are true & that he catches on with them.

well i think we alll got the iro goodbye’s out of our system over the week with the forst thing. marosevic is all new so more noteworthy right now.
