The CSA has finally confirmed the roster for the AGS Cup in Spain that gets underway later this week. As we reported earlier the roster includes four players from Toronto FC academy as Jordan Hamilton, Derick Sequeira, Kevon Black, and Elias Roubos will be heading to Spain. The bulk of the roster actually comes from Vancouver Whitecaps residency program with head coach Sean Fleming selecting 6 players from the program. The surprise is the fact that Montreal is only represented by one player and there is actually a real lack of francophone players on the roster. Hopefully, it is just an isolated thing and not a sign that Quebec is fading in terms of producing top young Canadian talent. Fleming will be using the AGS Cup as preparation for CONCACAF World Cup qualifying so the players will be eager to impress in hopes of earning another call in April.
