WTR's 2013 TFC Top 36 countdown.

Previous winners Frings an Koevermans lap up the congratulations. and hey, it's never going to be a winner Reggie Lambe! - Tom Szczerbowski-US PRESSWIRE

Reader participation required. Make your voice heard and help us rank all the players who stepped on the pitch in a competitive game for TFC this season.

Regular long time readers of this blog will hopefully remember a feature we do every year, the top however many countdown. It started in 2011 with a very neat top 40 countdown and last year's was a more frugal top 31. We rank all the players who played in a competitive game for the reds each season, commenting on their season, reliving their highs and lows. You can check out the past two seasons here (2012 top 31 countdown, winner Danny Koevermans) and here (2011 top 40 countdown, winner Torsten Frings)

Anyway, the point of this post is that we're doing it again this year. This year by my calculations there were 36 brave souls who pulled on the jersey for a game that mattered, we'll be profiling and commenting on all of them starting as of next Monday November 4th, one a day from number 36 until we reach number one some time in December...but to get there, we need your help.

I'm looking to get as many people to vote as possible, so as to come up with a definitive list where personal biases against certain players get averaged out, and we end up with a good idea of how TFC supporters as a whole rate the team and players.

Here's what to base the rankings on, a very straight forward question. Who had the most positive impact on Toronto FC's season? Base it on whatever you want really, stats, overall play, off pitch antics both good and bad, goals scored against us for other teams, whatever you think made a difference...you be the judge.

If you want to participate, send me an email at duncanfletcher@gmail.com and I'll send you the form to fill out, you reply with your ratings, I'll collate the results and we'll go from there.

Also, as in previous years, feel free to add your own comments about any or all of the players and I'll include as many as I can within each players profiles. Cheers.
