Califf and O'Dea did great. Here they just look awkward. - USA TODAY Sports
My latest article for Sportsnet looking at Saturday's game and the glimpses of a promising future.
The 3 points probably won't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but getting 0 and whatever out of the way early is huge, giving weeks of breathing space to Ryan Nelsen as he tries to build TFC into a solid team.
It was another poor second half, with more than a bit of luck needed to get the result, but once again the first half showed us what it is TFC's aiming for. The pressure, from Bostock, then Eckersley, then Ephraim, then Earnshaw to create that first goal was a great illustration of how this whole high pressing thing can work.
Lots of work still to do, but there are promising signs, glimpses of what we can hopefully look forward to.
