Canada will bring a 21 player roster to its training camp in Qatar where they will take part in friendlies against Japan and Belarus later this month.

The Canadian men's national team returns to action later this month with a pair of friendlies against Japan and Belarus in Doha, Qatar. They will take to the field against Japan on March 22nd and Belarus on the 25th. The roster for the training camp and matches was named on Thursday afternoon and includes 21 players who will be under the guidance of Canadian technical director Tony Fonseca.

Fonseca will take over the coaching duties on an interim basis as Canada continues to search for a new head coach to replace Stephen Hart on a permanent basis. The last manager resigned in October follow his team's crushing exit from World Cup Qualifying and the job has remained vacant since.

Canada's North American camp earlier this year was coached by Colin Miller on an interim basis but this time the CSA has handed the controls to Fonseca to take charge of the two matches. The camp's roster features a lot of familiar faces that will be reintegrated into the National team after several months off along with more new faces that the CSA will be hoping can contribute to the revitalization of the program.

Two of Toronto FC's top young players have been included on the 21 man roster as both Ashtone Morgan and Kyle Bekker will get the chance to represent their country again. Having already earned caps for the team both are now looking to work towards becoming regulars and battle for spots in the starting lineup as Canada prepares for this summer's Gold Cup.

There are also some new names in the group as Tomer Chencinksi and Stefan Cebara could both be in line to earn their first caps later this month. Getting Chencinksi in camp and playing for Canada will be good as it had been speculated in recent months that the Maccabi Tel Aviv FC goalkeeper may end up representing a different country.

Unlike the last Canadian camp, this group features far more veteran players including 15 players who are making their first appearance for the team since taking part in World Cup qualifiers. It is still a relatively young group though, with Atiba Hutchinson and Julian de Guzman being the oldest players on the 20 man roster and 11 of the players being born in 1987 or later.

The full roster for the camp is as follows:
