Osorio will likely benefit from some minutes in the reserve league - USA TODAY Sports
With the season already underway MLS has finally taken the time to announce the schedule for the reserve league which will of course be changed on the fly as it always seems to be.
The MLS Reserve League schedule came out on Wednesday afternoon with Toronto FC being one of the teams involved in this year's competition. Four teams did elect to enter into affiliations with USL Pro clubs and as such D.C. United, Sporting Kansas City, New England Revolution, and Philadelphia Union will not be taking part in this years Reserve League.
That leaves TFC in the seven team Eastern Conference along with Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, New York Red Bulls, and Montreal Impact. While the west consists of Chivas USA, LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Real Salt Lake, and Colorado Rapids.
This year's Reserve League will also feature those inter-league match-ups between MLS sides and teams from USL Pro that will count towards the final standings with the winner being determined on a points-per-match basis as it is unlikely that every team will end up playing the same number of matches as every year some games seem to end up being cancelled.
For Toronto the season gets underway on April 6th when they are scheduled to take on FC Dallas at BMO Field and ends on October 29th when they take on the Chicago Fire reserves in Chicago. Along the way they are scheduled to play a total of ten matches including the home-and-home series with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds which includes the USL Pro side coming to Toronto on July 28th for a game at either BMO Field or Lamport Stadium.
There will certainly be some changes to the schedule and for now it does not include any kickoff times for games but here is what Toronto FC's reserves have to look forward to in 2013:
