Voyageurs Cup finalists. It's a good ending for the two games since TFC last played in the league, but hands up if you saw anything in those 2 games that suggests we might be on the verge of turning around the form that's seen 3 straight defeats in the league. Didn't think so.
The preposterously tough schedule just continues as once again we play a good team in good form, despite their 5-4 loss to Chicago last week. Thierry Henry, Jamison Olave and um Bradley Wright Phillips, are all names to watch out for in this one, though no Tim Cahill which is good. Also there's a chance of a Richard Eckersley sighting, and maybe even Bobby Convey (don't ask for his shirt!).
As for Toronto, well there'll be no Michael Bradley, or Issey (#Shudofhitthepost) Nakajima-Farran of course. Also according to tweets from training, Jackson's out with concussion, and Julio Cesar might be out with the flu. so, yeah, this one could be interesting. There is still Jermian Defoe, unhappily for him, hopefully he'll be full of vengenace and point proving, and who knows, maybe this is the chance Ol' Gil's been waiting for, can he take advantage of some classic brave, busy, and dumb Richard Eckersley defending? We can but hope.
