Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Toronto FC
2013 MLS Season, Game 1

Here we are. It's early March and heartbreak season is about to begin...and where else would it begin but on Canada's west coast? TFC begin preseason 2014 the 2013 campaign in Vancouver once again, taking on the Whitecaps at BC Place. Last time they were here it ended in a 1-1 draw in a Canadian Championship match; will history repeat itself again?

If you listen to the pundits (ourselves included), the answer is "probably not". And if your gut is telling you the same, well, your instincts probably aren't far off either. (If you want to prove it right or wrong, you can also enter our contest here.) Granted, there has been an infusion of what Kevin Payne has called "the cavalry" into the lineup, along with a healthy dose of speculation and rumor-mongering. But given the unspectacular pre-season, it definitely gives one the feeling that we're being served yet another helping of good ole fashioned Ahi-Dijon Jicama Deja Vu™.

So what can we expect? For one, we're not really sure. Jay DeMerit is chomping at the bit to join Lee Young-Pyo, while Darren Mattocks looking ever threatening. Kenny Miller entering his last-chance saloon to justify his massive contract, and if he fails, will we see Kekuta Manneh? Will we also see Nigel Reo-Coker or Daigo Kobayashi? So many new names, so many ways that TFC could fall. And who will be there to answer the call?

Without Luis Silva, Justin Braun and Julio Cesar, newbies Robert Earnshaw and Hogan Ephraim be thrown into the deep end, along with Joe Bendik, who will get the start in place of Stefan Frei. Is that all we'll see? Or are we in for more surprises from debut coach Ryan Nelsen? There are so many questions, all of which we shall soon get an answer.

So follow along with us here, we'll have team news when it hits the twitters at 5:30 ish, and before and after that your favourite WTR writers will be around to answer any questions, and bringing you all the latest from the game. Remember, the thread is yours, so let's make it lively!
