Atiba Hutchinson wins Canadian Player of the Year

Hutchinson wins his second Player of the Year award, though the rest of the results weren't released for some reason.

Johnson & Kocic to Timbers for Bendik, pick, cash.

It's now officially reported that Ryan Johnson and Milos Kocic are being sent to Portland. The return? Portland's 1st round SuperDraft pick, 3rd overall, some allocation money and backup goalie Joe Bendik.

Sinclair 1st, Matheson 2nd in Player of year vote.

Obviously Christine Sinclair won, the real intrigue was who took second place, and that went to Diana Matheson.

For the first time ever, a soccer player was named Canada's athlete of the year. What does it all mean? It's just recognition that she and her team had a great year, not much more than that.

Henry, D'Angelo - Canadian U-20 Players of year

Scored the winning goal against the US in the under 23 Olympic qualifying tournament, and got plenty of first team time with TFC this year. that was enough for Doneil Henry to get the U-20 award, along with Sabrina D'Angelo.

Jesse Marsch to Toronto FC?

Rumours are out there that Kevin Payne has been talking to Jesse Marsch about coming to Toronto as a head coach. Those are very much unconfirmed though Payne has been telling fans that a trade is on the way.
