With very little news expected from Toronto FC for the next week our attention is shifting to the next two matches for the Canadian Men's National Team.  Another 2 wins and the side could be knocking on the door of the third round.  This time around the team heads down to St. Lucia on October 7th and then returns to BMO Field for a match against Puerto Rico on October 11th.

So what kind of coverage can we expect for these games?  Well the game down in St. Lucia is going to have very limited coverage.  So far I know that the CSA's twitter account will be live tweeting the game, Red Nation Online will have pregame and post game interviews on their site, and Sportsnet is doing everything then can to come up with coverage options for us.  A video feed seems to be out of the question at this point but I am still holding out hope that we will be able to get some kind of audio feed coming from St. Lucia.  What ever further news I can get from the CSA and Sportsnet I will pass along to you here as well as on twitter so keep a look out.

The news for the second game is much better and more straightforward.  If you can not make it to BMO field you will be able to watch the game live on Sportsnet One as well as get coverage from all your normal outlets.  If you are interested in going to the game, tickets are still available, and will be at the game itself, and there will be a pregame party hosted by The Voyageurs which will be joined by the folks of Umbro Canada.

The pregame party will also include a food drive as we noted over the weekend.  By partaking in this food drive you can help to feed the hungry of Toronto and also earn yourself a chance to win some prizes which have been generously donated by Umbro Canada.  Last time Umbro also brought out some special guests so that is something to look out for as well.  Before the September match I was able to meet Jim Brennan and Adrian Cann so what more reason do you need to come out to Maro before the game.  The party kicks off at 4:00 PM on the 11th and will go on until a march heads down to BMO just after 6:30.  If you do plan on joining that party it might be wise to come as early as you can since last time it got very crowded and it took forever to get beer.  Either way it is a great time to be had with other Canadian supporters.

And now to help and get you even more excited about the game I borrowed a video that was posted on the Voyageurs forum that I found pretty good.  By now I am sure that most of you have seen the "True, Patriot, Love" video that the CSA put out to try and promote these games so that one has already gotten a bit old.  This video is not perfect as I think it has a couple of people who might be considered traitors but still gets the juices flowing in advance of two big games.
