After another lopsided win, this time Jamaica beating up the Shalrie Joseph abandoned Grenada 4-0, we finally got a close game last night. Guatemala and Honduras tying 0-0. This game had everything you'd expect form two Central American teams, terrible refereeing, and plenty of play acting and time wasting. Despite all that, it was a decent game, especially as 9 man Guatemala managed to hang on and get the 0-0 draw.
Today of course is all about Canada v USA. I'll have a brief preview and game thread up later, but until then, here's a bunch of links for your reading pleasure.

Canada is not going to sit back and let the Yanks take the game to them according to head coach Stephen Hart. “I don’t think right now it’s a situation where we bunker down and play a counter attack -- that’s not our game we don’t have that type of mentality anymore,” he said prior to training today.

RNO interview series: Gold Cup Special, Will Johnson. Red nation catches up with Will Johnson discussing Canada and the Gold Cup as well as his Concacaf champs league with RSL.
Grass over turf adds challenge for Canada. The pitch at Ford Field isn't the greatest apparently, It's a bit dead, the ball dies very quickly and there's some gaps in it," said Canadian coach Stephen Hart. "Hopefully they get that repaired. But we've had experience on these types of fields before, it's going to rip up, it's going to pull up, there's going to be slipping and sliding. Hopefully they'll slip and slide and not us."
Canada faces injuries ahead of Gold Cup. There's unconfirmed injuries to deal with, Julian de Guzman seems unlikely to play, and David Edgar has been called up to replace Dejan Jakovic.
