Game thread. Tauro FC v Toronto FC

Tauro FC v Toronto FC

Estadio Rommel Fernandez, 8pm E.D.T

Setanta (free for now)

We should have at least one happy TFC tonight, but which one?  Hopefully the Canadian one but they'll have to do it without Torsten Frings (suspended) and Eric Avila (registered to FC Dallas for CCL purposes).  Can Toronto keep their 5 game unbeaten streak going even without their new captain?  Probably, though it will mean yet another new defence, let's hope Andy Iro can avoid disaster back there, and Julian de Guzman can take control of the midfield and help keep the Panamaniacs out, as though we've looked a lot better up front since the grand summer reshuffle, I'm not all that confident of us scoring more than once.  Tauro have temporarily left the confines of their small and plastic pitched stadium for the larger and grassier Estadio Rommel fernandez, so there's at least a couple of homefeild advantages negated, is it a cliche to suggest one of the main problems we'll have left to look out for is the Concacaf refereeing?  Well yes, but let's not pretend it won't be true again tonight.  Last year, dodgy refereeing and an even dodgier lineup cost us points in Panama, let's not have a repeat.

Here's my full preview for some pre game reading, and Torontofc.ca probably has a bunch of stuff up by now as well I imagine.  Also, why not check out The Yorkies guide to Tauro, and join them for a touching rendition of the Panama national anthem.  I'll be here with lineups and all that probably somewhere between 7 and 7:30ish, whenever somebody else announces them on twitter, and then to comment as the game happens.

Come on you Reds!
