Pumas UNAM v Toronto FC
Estadio Olimpico Universitario
8PM Gol TV

After some great results early in the group stages for MLS teams against Mexican sides, Mexico struck back with authority last night.  Santos laguna hammered Colorado, while Morelia did it the old fashioned way, getting the help of some inept refereeing to give LA Galaxy a thorough Concacaffing to get the 1-0 win.

TFC will look to get things back on track tonight inMexico City against Pumas, and they could be in with a good chance, as more than likely Pumas will be playing a very kid heavy lineup.  Now obviously these kids are probabvly very talented to be in an FMF squad, but you'd hope the experience of Frings, De Guzman, Koevermans and co would be enough to help TFC (currently unbeaten against Mexican teams in competitve games by the way) get some kind of positive result out of this, though the late news of a Joao Plata hamstring strain puts a bit of a downer on my optimism, especially with Eric Avila out as well, that's a lot of our skill gone right there.

For pre game reading, you can get my full preview here, as well as some insider info on Pumas from Eben Lehman of FMF State of MindTorontofc.ca has a bunch of previews and interviews up as well.

I'll be here from about 7 onwards, when team news gets announced on twitter, I'll let you know.

Come on You Reds!
