See all that neon green in the south stand? Well that could all be sold out before the end of the week. Tickets are on sale and going fast!

Ticket sales for the March 7th game at Rogers Centre are now on sale. The club kicked off sales this morning around 11 AM EST and despite some minor issues in the early stages sales seem to be going well so far. The only indication of ticket sales so far is the buzz I am reading on twitter and it is pretty noticeable. It seems that so far the Season Ticket Holders are snapping up tickets in fairly large numbers.

If you are not a season ticket holder you are going to have to wait until Friday when the tickets go on general sale or you can get in touch with a friend who is a season seat holder or a member of one of the supporters groups. If you are hoping to get tickets in that $19 supporters end though you better get your butt in gear as Paul Beirne has suggested on his twitter account that tickets at that price point might be sold out before the general sale even gets under way.

In fact this tweet came from the club this evening!

March 7 Rogers Centre: $19 ($29 public) tix nearly sold out; $55 ($69 public) tix completely sold out ...

On the whole it is great to see there is a buzz so far but much of what I am seeing is the people I follow on twitter and they are the more hardcore supporters of the club for the most part. Even if the SSH end up purchasing more tickets at the Dome than they hold at BMO that will still leave 20,000 tickets or so for the general public. Now that stills means there is a lot of work to be done but if this buzz keeps growing a Toronto FC Champions League ticket could be one of the hottest tickets this side of a Beiber concert (I hate myself for using him as a reference)

Here's hoping the sales keep up and by the end of the month we will be looking at a sell-out full of home town fans. The more seats supporters buy the less there will be left for the potential Beckham watchers! So if you have not got your tickets yet I seriously suggest that you do not delay as sales should continue to be brisk!
