Toronto FC Release Full 2012 TV Schedule

After several weeks of impatiently waiting for the Toronto FC television schedule to arrive it is finally upon us. Despite most of the other MLS teams releasing their schedules a few weeks ago we can be glad that at least Toronto got it to us with a few weeks to spare before the start of the season.

The real news of the schedule launch was that several fixtures have been moved. Yesterday, the release of TSN's schedule informed us that the match against the Chicago Fire would be moved from July 21 to September 12. The other changes that were announced today were all time changes but are still worth noting. The changes, from the club website, are as follows:

• Saturday, April 7 at Montreal will now kick-off at 12 p.m. E.T.
• Saturday, May 5 against D.C. United will now kick-off at 4 p.m. ET.
• Sunday, July 8 at Philadelphia will now kick-off at 4 p.m. ET.
• Wednesday, August 15 against Portland will now begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
• Saturday, October 20 against Montreal, now at 1:30 p.m. ET.

In the end, Toronto FC fans will be able to see the Reds across three networks this year. There will be the 18 games on TSN and TSN, 10 games on Gol TV, and the remaining 6 games will be on Sportsnet Ontario and Sportsnet One. The club also said that all of the games will be available in HD but I am sure most of us will still have issues with getting Gol TV in HD from our service providers. The other option for seeing the games on Gol TV in HD would be to get that Real Sports app they keep encouraging us to get.

Looking at the whole coverage schedule it seems to be just about the best we could have asked for. Less than half of the games are on Gol, not too many on TSN2, and very few that are only going to be on Sportsnet One. Find the full schedule after the jump.
