As the minutes slowly tick away towards kickoff I am sure that like me you are starting to find the nerves are growing. The fact of the matter is that unless Toronto FC puts in a massive performance, their CONCACAF Champions League run could very well come to an end tonight. The task ahead of them is by no means impossible though, as Toronto FC actually went to the Home Depot Center last season and snatched a 2-2 draw thanks to a last gasp equalizer from Alan Gordon. A repeat of that result would be good enough to send the match to extra time which should be enough to give fans hope. Top it off with the fact that TFC got that draw against the Galaxy before the squad overhaul so it was a weaker team than they will have tonight. The Reds are also riding a streak of 5 straight draws against LA but most of them were 0-0 draws which would not be good enough tonight. A clean sheet would be a great start.

For all our pregame coverage you can check out Duncan talking about it being a tall order for TFC on Sportsnet, the question of who would be Toronto's first 5 in a shootout, our LAG focused primer talking about potential fatigue, our look at what Toronto FC is going to need to do if they want to get a result in Carson, and don't forget John's on the ground LA coverage that is highlighted by How ya Doin' live and in person!

There is also still time to get a guess in for Smarter than Preki for this round so don't miss out on a chance to win a great prize, a dubious prize, and a novelty prize!

We will update this thread with the lineups when they are available as well as commenting throughout the match. Can also check in here early as we should have updates from the Seattle Sounders - Santos game which would determine TFC's potential opponent in the semi finals.

In the meantime though this should help calm the nerves just a bit! Alan Gordon!
