Toronto FC's senior academy team is preparing to once again take part in the CSL season. The league is yet to make the complete schedule public but with games set to get underway on May 5th club's have been made aware of their schedules.
TFC Academy will get their season under way on the 5th with a visit to Kingston to take on Kingston FC. That match will be the Kingston club's first in the CSL as they are one of three teams that the league has added for the 2012 season. The first time that the young reds will be at home is on May 25th when they host London City at Downsview Park.
The Reds will be playing all of their home games at Downsview this season. They will have some other games in the GTA though including one set to take place at Lamport Stadium. They are slated to play SC Toronto, so technically a road game, on June 8th at the Stadium in the heart of Liberty Village.
The Montreal Impact's youngsters will be in town late on in the season with their visit not set to take place until September 14th. Toronto's trip to Montreal will be on June 3rd when they visit CS St Jean De Vianney for a nice Sunday afternoon kick off.
The majority of the games are set to take place on Friday evenings with only one midweek game and then a couple of matches set for Saturdays or Sundays. It is a fairly good schedule in terms of allowing fans to get out and watch the team at Downsview some time this summer. There is no word on what ticket prices will be like for home games, I believe CSL has control over that, but hopefully it ends up being a nice affordable way to spend a summer evening.
