Here comes that rainy day feeling again,
And soon my tears they will be falling like rain.
It always seems to be a Monday,
Left over memories of Sunday, always spent with you
Before the clouds appeared and took away my sunshine.
"Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Day Again", The Fortunes
It always seems to happen to TFC, doesn't it? When things seem to be going well, something like a season-ending injury happens to our leading scorer. It's news that will lift the visiting Denverites, as they are mired in a three-game losing streak heading into a stadium they have yet to win in. It's like two rain clouds, coming together. Will anyone emerge from the misty haze, and back into the sun?
Given how decimated the TFC lineup is already, changes will likely come at a premium -- and riding a two-game win streak, it's hard to argue for making any drastic changes. The defense was able to hold up to a barrage of New England attacks last week, but with Omar Cummings and Conor Casey likely to feature for the Rapids, we could be in for another storm. Or will Ryan Johnson, Luis Silva and Eric Avila find a way through? All will be revealed tonight.
For your reading pleasure, we have Duncan's tee up for this match, as well as James' two part analysis on the Rapids (Part 2 is here). We also have my exchange with UZ from Burgundy Wave (and you can see how I answered their questions.) We also encourage those of you at the game to show your love to a fellow MLS supporter fighting with the Rapids' management, and to consider what MLS's deal with the Boy Scouts of America really means. As as always, put your crystal ball to the test with our Are You Smarter? game for prizes!
We'll be here pre-match with lineups and other info as we receive it, and then stay locked to this thread for all the sunny days and the torrential downpours that this match might bring -- hope you have your SPF 45 or your umbrellas ready!
