It was a Saturday night without a whole lot shakin’, ooh my ooh my I was bored
I had my best duds on it was a chance worth takin’, somehow I was still ignored
Been too long since I been shy and lonely, ooh, but that’s okay
Need some gal to be my one and only...

- "Dancin' Fool", The Guess Who

It's another Saturday afternoon-night at BMO, and this wasn't exactly the opponent to fit the occasion. Sure, the Reds have just shed a two-game losing streak after settling for a late draw with the Portland Timbers, which essentially means that all hopes of the playoffs are now gone -- but really? Sporting Kansas City? On a day like this? Well...I guess cruelty can come in many forms.

It's not all bad though; with international duty a thing of the past (for the time being), and we should likely see the tandem of Richard Eckersley starting with Darren O'Dea. Terry Dunfield is back again, as well as Ryan Johnson. So all should be set for a full-powered clash between the two ends of the Eastern Conference standings.

The Wiz (or...Sporting...Sporting Wizards? Oh, never mind...) will definitely be without the services of Jacob Peterson, while Bobby Convey is questionable. Aurelien Collin is back from injury, joining Kei Kamara and Teal Bunbury and Graham Zusi to form a formidable lineup. Neven Markvoic and former Barcelona B man Oriol Rosell only adds fuel to that fire.

Meanwhile, the weather looks to be fair tomorrow, which given the oppressive heat that's gripped the American midwest this summer, could play to the visitors' advantage...or not. Either way. The referee will be Jorge Gonzalez, who hasn't refereed a TFC game since the middle of last year. Take from that as you may.
