MLS SuperDraft 2013: WTR's SuperLive SuperThread!

Edit: Toronto FC take Kyle Bekker with the 3rd pick. then they take a timeout, then trade 4 to Vancouver, swapping down to 10, then trade 10 to Seattle, then with 16, take another local boy, Emery Welshman. Mmmmm, SuperAllocation.

Well, here we go again -- 19 MLS teams, 2 rounds, 38 wide-eyed new recruits. Who will be the lucky ones, which poor unfortunate souls will end up with TFC, and who shall forever have the pleasure of forever being known as a Number 1 draft pick at the MLS SuperDraft? We shall find out today, live from Indianapolis.

TFC as you know, got the party started yesterday, flipping the first overall pick to the Revs for the 4th plus a forever unknown amount of MLS funny money Garber Bucks™ allocation cash. (as the Yorkies said, "All that losing was for nothing?") They also have the 3rd pick, that one coming from the Timbers as a result of the Johnson/Kocic trade, but won't have a second round pick due to the Jeremy Hall trade with Dallas. There's a number of options that the team has with these picks, from further trading to actually using them on any number of selectees, for which profiles of likely ones are available in our handy-dandy StoryStream.

And don't forget there are a number of Canadians available in today's draft, and two (Kyle Bekker and Emery Welshman) have started turning some heads. We'll be following their stories as well. Also, will Chivas USA go with Carlos Alvarez like they said, or are they big fat liars, with pants on fire? So many questions, all of which will be answered today.

(If you're wondering why there's only two rounds, there will be an additional four rounds of draft action at the glitz-and-glamourless Supplemental Draft that will be held via conference call on January 22nd, of which we will have the results for you here as soon as they are available.)

You're probably wondering at this point if we have done a mock draft (after we analyzed a few, and then some, we sort of have to put our money where our mouth is, right?), and the answer is yes: take a look at the results from SB Nation's collective of MLS bloggers, and yes, given the trade, it's already hopelessly wrong.
