If you are planning to go to games during the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup when it takes place in Canada next year now is the time to put your plan in action. The CSA and FIFA have announced that venue packages for the event will go on sale Thursday at 12 Eastern on FIFA.com/Canada2014. With packages for the event starting at just $40 the price is certainly right.
Toronto will be hosting 7 matches during the event and tickets for all 7 games will start at just $50 (prices include taxes but are subject to applicable fees). Prices in each city are divided into four different categories with Toronto's highest category set to cost $120 for all 7 matches. The range of prices is rounded out by Category 2 at $100 and Category 3 at $75.
With all four price points you are paying less than $20 per match during the tournament which is a very good price considering what you would normally pay for international soccer in Toronto. With Category 4 tickets coming in at less than $10 per match there should be some demand for tickets.
The added bonus for fans in cities that will also be hosting World Cup games in 2015 is that by purchasing tickets for this event they will be able to opt in to the priority waiting list for 2015 tickets and get ahead of the line. That is not an option for fans in Toronto though as BMO Field will not be hosting any games in 2015.
Individual match tickets will go on sale at a later date so for now if you want to have first crack at securing the best seats getting a venue package is the way to go. Once you select your price point you will be able to select specific seats in that area for all of the matches.
The full price breakdown for venue packs in all four cities is as follows:
|City||# of matches||Category 1||Category 2||Category 3||Category 4|
|Montreal 2||10 (includes Final and 3rd place)||$165||$135||$105||$65|
The prices are certainly right so why not plan your vacation time around next August and get out to watch some young ladies compete on the international stage.
