Just a brief note on a couple of changes here.
First up I'm going to be taking a bit of a break. After over 3 years of doing this blogging thing on top of a full time job (not to mention getting to do it about some relentlesly crappy teams), I'm feeling pretty exhausted and burnt out right now and it's been a while since this has felt like fun to be honest. It seems unlikely to ever become something that pays me well (hey, if anyone out there does want to pay me well for this, let me know.) so if it's not fun and is actually affecting my health then what's the point really?
Hopefully it is just a case of being tired, so I'm going to take a month off, step away from the blog and try and get some kind of better work/blog/life balance. Then I can come back in January feeling rejuvenated, bright eyed and bushy tailed again and find some way to be able to lessen my workload, take this less seriously, have it be fun again and get through the 2014 season. Ideally TFC can do their bit and become a less depressingly awful team to cover.
I'll still be around here in the comments section and maybe even writing something if I want to, but for now I need to get rid of any sense of obligation for a while. I'll leave you all in the capable hands of everyone else here.
Fortunately enough though, to help cover my absence and then share the workload next season, we do have a new author here, as you'll have noticed if you paid attention to the MLS Cup preview he wrote.
So, everyone welcome Mitchell Tierney, follow him here on twitter if you're into that sort of thing.
As for me, I'll be back at some point. Cheers.
