4 Toronto FC Academy Players, More MLS Academy Products Selected for Canada's U-17 World Cup Camp

Scanning far and wide for talent is something that Canada's U-17 head coach Sean Fleming have been doing for the past few months, and ahead of a Florida training camp starting on Friday, Fleming has gone back to four TFC Academy players that was part of the team that helped secure a berth at this year's FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Kevon Black, Ian Fernandes, Jordan Hamilton and Elias Roubos will be part of a 24-man training camp that will start on Friday until August 12th in Florida, which will be the first of three major camps before the World Cup. Fleming's team includes many of those who were part of the CONCACAF U-17 tournament in Panama earlier this year, including FC Edmonton's striker Hanson Boakai, Vancouver Whitecaps Residency 'keeper Marco Carducci, midfielder Marco Bustos and defender Aron Mkungilwa from the Montreal Impact's Academy.

And for the first time in recent memory, other MLS academy products have been included in this squad, defender Eric Davies out of FC Dallas's academy and forward Matt Greer from the Philadelphia Union's academy have been included in the 24.

In the release, Fleming stated that this is a camp for those who are currently on the squad to keep their places, while allowing those on the outside looking a chance to prove themselves. But he also states that there are still players out there that could still get a chance.
