What a waste of money! MLS player salaries released.

Yes, the MLSPU have released the salary figures again, fun for all the family. We'll have some in depth coverage of the numbers later, but for now, as is tradition here, we'll jump straight into gut reaction/snap decision mode. Back in May, I played nice, and it was no surprise that Joe Bendik got recognised as the 'best value' (though now he may be challenged by Steven Caldwell, $89,999? A bargain).

Now it's time to figure out who's got the worst contract on the team. You decide! With a poll! I think there's a good chance Elmer and Rey might be in with a chance by the end of the season, but it's very harsh to judge as they've barely played so i didn't include them. Still though, that's some big contracts for those two.

Anyway, with all the usual caveats that these numbers shouldn't be taken as definite by any means given all the weird MLS accounting that can happen, here's the full list for the entire league, and here's all the TFC players. The first number is the base salary, the second number the guaranteed compensation (with things like signing bonuses spread out over the length of the contract added on.)
