It is set to be a crazy few days for Jermain Defoe. On Saturday he took to the field in England to play for Tottenham Hotspurs. He found the back of the net in a 2-0 win for the club in what could be one of his final Premier League appearances.
Sunday was a travel day for Defoe as he left London in the morning before arriving at Toronto's Pearson International just prior to 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. His arrival in Toronto was greeted by a group of Toronto FC fans and a few members of the media. Apparently he is a bloody big deal but it sure would have been fun to see what kind of reception he would have received had his expected arrival time been made more widely available.

Now that Defoe is in Toronto he can get ready for another crazy day on Monday. His unveiling press conference is set for 11 AM at Real Sports and should be streamed as well as broadcast on TSN and Sportsnet. That press conference will be followed by an event with select fans from 3-5 also taking Real Sports. That will probably kick off a number of media appearances before he heads back over to England. After all, Defoe is expected to be back in London and potentially playing for Spurs next Sunday.
