Gilberto’s long awaited first goal gets cancelled out by another gut wrenching result. While most would’ve taken a point in New York before kickoff, conceding in the dying minutes of the game still stings. Lucky for TFC there isn’t a lot of time to dwell on the result as they are back at it on Wednesday night in Chicago.
While Chicago may have had an extended break in league action the Fire have been keeping busy over the break. Two home wins in the US Open Cup against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Columbus Crew will have given what was a struggling Chicago squad some confidence.
