Are you smarter than Paul Mariner?: Round 32

If there was ever a time to have Chivas USA on the schedule this is it. TFC has been sputtering along, watching their playoff position slip away and any hopes of their first post season game fade. Chivas is perhaps the only club that TFC followers can look at and say "at least we aren’t Chivas" of course the followers of Chivas probably say the same thing about TFC. How’s that for a build up to this Sunday’s match of perennial East and West cellar dwellers?

Chivas is in their mid season form, winless in ten. Scoring three goals in that stretch of games Chivas has also been held to a clean sheet eight times since their last win on July 12^th. There really aren’t many positives for Chivas these days with word coming out earlier this week that they may go on hiatus next season, things have never been so grim for the Goats. A winnable trip to BMO could also be just what Chivas need to turn some frowns upside down.

How will TFC use the emotion from last weekend’s officiating disaster in Chicago? TFC were blatantly robbed of a goal, three points and perhaps a playoff game because of some of the amateur level officiating that MLS allows to oversee their games. TFC could use that as the springboard moment to get back into the playoff race. A home date with Chivas could not have been better planned.
