Whoa! What a weekend. Just as we were all getting comfortable with this "new" TFC, the "why can’t we be great" talk, respectable result and place in the standings the head honcho calls it quits and the heads started rolling. The old TFC is back baby! Are you smarter than Ryan Nelsen coming in 2015.

Out is Ryan Nelsen the Kiwi that was so fresh from his playing days that him strapping the boots on seemed like a viable solution to our back line issues at times. In came TFC’s newest Academy product Greg Vanney. Granted Vanney has plenty of previous coaching experience after leading the TFC Academy since 2011 he now has his shot at the first team. Right into the pressure cooker he goes. A home and home series with Philadelphia this week should give Vanney an idea of what to expect down the stretch as the Reds desperately try to cling onto their playoff lives.

Philadelphia are right in the thick of things and will see these next two games as winnable matches against a team in disarray. A couple of wins or even coming away with four points for Philly will set them up nicely down the stretch and give them control of their own destiny,.
