There are just three games remaining and TFC are on the cusp of their first playoff appearance. The only ones standing in their way are the New York Red Bulls, Columbus Crew SC and Montreal Impact. TFC will need just a point from their final three games to solidify their spot in the post-season however there is more reason for them to fight to the very end.
Only 2 points separate TFC from 2 in the East which means that TFC could still earn home field advantage. There are plenty of potential outcomes and TFC can only focus on themselves but if they get the points from every game here on out there is a good possibility for a home game at BMO.
It starts this week with a mid-week fixture against the Eastern Conference leading New York Red Bulls. Breakout centreback Matt Miazga will miss the match for New York due to suspension and Lloyd Sam is out on international duty.
TFC will get Michael Bradley back early from the US national team but not Jozy Altidore. There were also whispers that Sebastian Giovinco was texting with TFC letting them know that he will be available Wednesday night, in what capacity is unknown.
Plenty to get excited about in this one. How does it turn out?
Scoring; 2 points for the correct result, 1 point for the correct TFC score and 1 point for the correct opponent score. Post in the comment section below or mention me (@Stouffvillain) before kick-off to be eligible.
