Sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference, eight points behind Montreal for the final playoff spot with only three games left to play, the Philadelphia Union's season has been reduced to the role of spoiler. After falling in penalties to Sporting KC in the US Open Cup final on Wednesday night the Union really don't have anything left to play for this season.
As TFC supporters we can relate to that feeling that Philadelphia is going through right now, we've been there many times, we also know that there was little fire left in the Reds in those past years to overcome a superior squad on the road. This is where the modern day TFC must pounce on their opportunity this weekend, step on the throat of their opponent, kick them when their down and claim all three points for themselves.
A win this weekend combined with an Orlando loss in Montreal would finalize the Eastern Conference playoff teams. Does TFC finally make it to the post-season this weekend?
