The atomic ants MVP like season has not gone unnoticed by TFC supporters who have been buying his jersey and merchandise this season.

It seems Sebastian Giovinco has found his way into the hearts of Toronto FC supporters, and they are opening their wallets to show their appreciation. According to an article by ESPN FC, Giovinco ranks 12th in kit sales on MLSStore.com as of kickoff for this year's Major League Soccer season.

That number is likely to rise with Toronto FC making their first ever playoff appearance in the next week, especially if the game is at home. Whether or not TFC hosts a playoff game depends on the outcome of this weekend's match with the Montreal Impact, with a win or a draw being enough.

For the second straight year, the most sold jersey on the site was that of Seattle Sounders and US Men's National Team forward Clint Dempsey. The 32-year-old has 8 goals and 9 assists in 19 matches this season, and with a win this weekend would lead his Sounders to a seventh straight MLS playoffs appearance.

Joining Dempsey in the top three are LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard and Orlando City star Kaka. Both are internationally recognizable names, something that has not evaded them as they played their inaugural season in Major League Soccer.

Last year, Toronto FC's Michael Bradley finished in the top three in jersey sales, but this year he fell out of the top 20 altogether. Meanwhile, returning star Jozy Altidore did not crack the list in his inaugural season.

The most represented team on the list was expansion side New York City FC. Andrea Pirlo finished fourth in jersey sales, David Villa fifth, Frank Lampard seventh and Mix Diskerud iin the tenth spot.

Unsurprisingly, six of the top 10 jersey sales were those of expansion clubs, as new Orlando and New York City supporters purchase their first club kits in great numbers.

Here are the top 10 kits sold on the Major League Soccer website since the season opened:

1. Clint Dempsey - Seattle Sounders

2. Steven Gerrard - LA Galaxy

3. Kaka - Orlando City

4. Andrea Pirlo - NYCFC

5. David Villa - NYCFC

6. Obafemi Martins - Seattle Sounders

7. Frank Lampard - NYCFC

8. Bradley Wright-Phillips - NY Red Bulls

9. Brek Shea - Orlando City

10. Mix Diskerud - NYCFC
