Are you smarter than Ryan Nelsen?: Round 2

New, 71 comments

Round 1 turned out great for the optimistic fans. How will Round 2 go in Ohio?

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

The season opening road trip continues this weekend as TFC head to Columbus in leg one of the 2015 Trillium Cup. In the past TFC have had their hands full in Ohio but that has changed in recent history with TFC winning both meetings in Columbus last season.

After falling in Houston last week this will be the home opener for Columbus. Most of CCSC’s roster turnover from last season has happened across the back line. Michael Parkhurst and Waylon Francis are back but Argentine Hernan Grana and former Rapid Chris Klute are new to the fray. Like TFC Columbus also has a new face leading the line after bringing Kei Kamara back to MLS. A proven goal scorer in the league Kamara is a blessing for Federico Higuain who will no longer have to carry the entire offense on his own. The Crew midfield is largely the same as 2014 with Higuain, Ethan Finlay, Will Trapp and Tony Tchani all returning.

This is a Crew side that will likely be fighting with TFC for playoff positions all season and three points early in the season against them could come in very handy six months from now. What is your call for the game?

Scoring; 2 points for the correct result, 1 point for the correct TFC score and 1 point for the correct opponent score. Post in the comment section below or mention me (@Stouffvillain) before kick-off to be eligible.

Here is the current leader board.
