It turns out home isn't where the heart is, it's where it gets broken. The record-setting 30,000 crowd in attendance at BMO Field left disappointed after the home side fell 2-1 to the Houston Dynamo. It wasn't the home start the club was looking for, a certainly won't do anything to inspire confidence going forward. The loss brings Toronto to 3-5-0 on the season.
Oscar Garcia scored on a penalty while Will Bruin took advantage of Gilles Barnes end to end sprint to give Houston what they needed to escape the fortress with a victory. Jozy Altidore was able to salvage some dignity for Toronto FC, as he found the back on the net from an excellent cross from Jonathan Osorio.
More analysis of the match will be up shortly, until that time enjoy the one moment the legions of fans actually got to cheer for today. At least Altidore is still in form, even if little of the rest of the team never really got going.
