It was the performance that should have been on Sunday, but it didn't matter as Toronto FC fell short on aggregate. Two poorly conceded goals meant Toronto's Voyageurs Cup brought was extended to three, even if they won the home leg 3-2. At the very least, however, Toronto will be able to take some solid in the way they played tonight. Montreal will go through on away goals, as the tie was knotted at 3-3 after the three matches.
It was Dominic Oduro that provided the goal to put the Impact through, which came off of a late header. Before that Jozy Altidore had stolen the show with a game and two assists. Sebastian Giovinco and Benoit Cheyrou had the other two Toronto goals. Kenny Cooper had the first Montreal Impact goal.
Full analysis of the match will be up shortly, until then, why not support Canadian soccer and tune in to the other semi-final of the Voyageurs Cup as FC Edmonton take on the Vancouver Whitecaps.
