Road trip redeemed, as Toronto FC defeated the Philadelphia Union 1-0 at PPL Park. Toronto did just enough to hold on against one of the league's worst team. It wasn't pretty, but there won't be any complaints as the Reds earned their second straight clean sheet. This means they went 3-4-0 on their roadtrip, gaining a respectable nine points.
Sebastian Giovinco scored an absolutely stunning free kick that will definitely be up for goal of the week. Chris Konopka, in his first ever regular season game with Toronto FC, got a clean sheet. However, he didn't have all that much to do.
A full analysis of the match will be up shortly, until then enjoy the fact that for the first time ever Toronto FC may well have the best player in Major League Soccer.
