The Timbers Army come marching to BMO Field this weekend when TFC hope to get some points at home for the first time this season. The Timbers haven't started the season off well and are coming in limping after a 3-1 defeat in Houston last weekend. Portland is starting to get healthy though and they could really use any match at this point as a launching pad to turn their season around. Diego Valeri is back and in regular Diego Valeri form which isn't good news for the Reds. On the wings the Timbers have plenty of speed, which TFC hasn't always dealt will very well, with Rodney Wallace and Darlington Nagbe. Up top Caleb Porter usually elects to start with Fernando Adi however he could also deploy former TFC DP Max Urruti.
Vanney has finally taken the training wheels off of Michael Bradley and it has resulted in good things happening offensively for TFC. Look for that to continue as TFC will need to find more ways to attack opponents with Jozy out of action. The Morrow/Morgan combination at fullback has worked thus far and with the attack Portland brings, don't look for that to change.
The biggest lineup decision this week will be who replaces Jozy Altidore? Robbie Findley brings pace but hasn't brought much else since he left MLS for England years ago. Luke Moore played well at times last season but hasn't got his name on the scoresheet yet this season. Another option is Jordan Hamilton, who has scored everywhere he's played but is unproven at the MLS level.
What happens this weekend?
