The stadium started quietly but the home team didn't as an early goal for Toronto FC ultimately gave them a 1-0 win over the Portland Timbers. It was the team's fourth win of the season, and first at home. It was also the most complete performance we have seen from a Toronto team in some time. The win brings them to 4-4-1 on the season.
It was Sebastian Giovinco that provided the moment of magic, with a stellar strike from outside of the 18 after some nice build up play from Toronto FC. They had several other nice sequences of passing but failed to put any others in the back of the net. Chris Konopka had his second ever clean sheet.
Postgame analysis will be up shortly, but until then enjoy yet another goal of the week candidate from Sebastian Giovinco.
