Are you smarter than Carolina Morace?: Round 5

A quarterfinal date with the English awaits our Canadian women.

Every match thus far in the World Cup has been a nail biter for the Canadians and the quarterfinal match will be no different.  Canada's opponent, England, has been on fire since dropping their opening match to France.  England went on to beat Mexico and Columbia with identical 2-1 scorelines.  Then in the Round of 16 the English found themselves down 1-0 in the second half before scoring twice to walk away from a strong Norwegian team as victors.

Not many would've predicted that Canada would be in the spot they find themselves in with Christine Sinclair held off of the score sheet since opening day.  As the competition gets stiffer and the stakes get higher John Herdman must find a way to get his biggest attacking threat back in her groove.  Fortunately, Canada has been a brick wall on the back end thus far and a solid defense is the backbone of any winning team.  Can they do it again?

Not only will the pressure of playing at home in a World Cup quarterfinal be on the shoulders of the Canadians but they will also be against a strong and resilient England squad.  The winner will have a date with the victor of Japan and Australia on Canada Day.  Predictions?

Scoring; 2 points for the correct result, 1 point for the correct Canada score and 1 point for the correct opponent score. Post in the comment section below or mention me (@Stouffvillain) before kick-off to be eligible.
