No matter how good of a roll TFC have been on in the past this weekends opponent seems to always have their number. Toronto FC all time record against New England is 4-8-8 and TFC have only come away with full points at home against New England twice. TWICE! Even in the more recent history when TFC haven't been a cellar dweller The Revs have seemingly had their number. In fact TFC haven't beat New England since August 2013 which also happened to be at BMO Field.
New England are healthy and looking to work their way back towards the top of the Eastern Conference. After struggling through the better part of June and July a couple of matches with Chicago and NYCFC turned their fortunes around. If New England is back to their early season form it could be a tough day at BMO for the home team that could literally be limping into the match. Michael Bradley, Nick Hagglund and Luke Moore have already been ruled out of the match with Giovinco and Morgan also on the fence. Collen Warner is suspended for the match due to yellow card accumulation.
Sitting on 28 points each if a couple other results go their way this weekend both clubs could see themselves sitting in 2nd place in the East come Monday morning. How does the long weekend at BMO play out?
Scoring; 2 points for the correct result, 1 point for the correct TFC score and 1 point for the correct opponent score. Post in the comment section below or mention me (@Stouffvillain) before kick-off to be eligible.
