After having a league-leading eight picks in last year's MLS Superdraft, 2016 promises to be a little less hectic for Toronto's front office staff. The club will make just one selection today in the first two rounds of the draft, ninth overall, and will be looking to add a depth player with that pick.

You never know what draft day can bring, as trades and otherwise could be on the horizon, but expect a quieter day from Toronto FC. They already have the large majority of their squad and are now just looking to fine tune the final details.

That doesn't mean there won't be a shortage of interesting stories to follow on draft day, however. From a Canadian soccer perspective several young Canucks could have a new MLS home in the next few days. That includes one who plays in the CIS from Dalhousie University, something that would be massive for Canadian University soccer.

The man to keep an eye on out of Canada, evidently, is Richie Laryea, the Toronto born midfielder who is likely to go in the top few picks at the draft. Toronto supporters will be hoping he falls to the number nine spot, but considering his skill that is unlikely.

Below is a draft board with all of Toronto's picks in the draft. Waking the Red staff will be updating it throughout the draft as new players pull on the red kit:

Round Pick Player University/College Position
1 9 Tsubasa Endoh University of Maryland M
3 56 Mitchell Taintor Rutgers University M
3 59
4 70
4 80

As can be seen above, Toronto FC have no second round selections in the draft as they traded theirs to Vancouver in exchange for Steven Beitashour. They also had another they acquired in the Warren Creavalle trade but sent that to the Seattle Sounders for Eriq Zavaleta. Here is the full first round of the draft including the order, and who is selected by each team. This will also be updated by Waking the Red staff as the draft goes on:
