Well, it's finally here.
It's been a long wait, but the first home game of the 2016 season, at the new and improved BMO Field, is set for Saturday against FC Dallas.
Toronto suffered a minor setback on Sunday, losing their final game of an eight-match road trip, falling 2-1 to the Timbers.
Disappointing though it may have been, it is clear that this Toronto side is a much-changed beast from the side that leaked goals in seasons past.
And with 11 points from the opening stretch, TFC has put themselves in a position to excel.
That said, the next month will be crucial. Given the absences expected over the summer, they need to carry that road-warrior mentality into dominance at home.
Easier said than done, do not expect massive changes in approach. They may have focused on defense-first on the road, but there were plenty of impressive spells of possession. At home, the expectation will be to maintain that 'hard to beat' manner, while making the most of their attacking talents.
Hopefully everyone, team and fans alike, are excited for their first glimpse of the renovated BMO Field. Should be fun.
