Toronto FC came out the gates blazing on Saturday night. Justin Morrow scored in just the ninth minute of the match, giving the building a breath of confidence. The Reds did exactly what they were expected to do: beat the Chicago Fire, the last team in the MLS standings. The rest of the match, by all accounts was characterized by TFC's ample chances, but inability to finish. Toronto finished with 25 shots, six of which were on-goal compared to Chicago's 11, two of which were on goal. Sebastian Giovinco had his finger prints all over the game, but just couldn't put one on the board. For Giovinco's incredibly high standards, he's in a bit of a slump - not scoring in past seven MLS matches, dating back to May 14th. Despite not scoring the additional goals for insurance, on this occasion it didn't matter as TFC went onto win the game 1-0. The Reds will be back in action on Wednesday against Columbus Crew SC, but won't be back at home on the pitch at BMO Field until Saturday, July 23rd.
