WATCH: Sebastian Giovinco Scores Stunning Pair of Free Kicks Against DC United

The Italian broke his goalless drought in style.

The atomic ant's scoring drought is well and truly over. The last time he was at BMO Field saw him rip his shirt off in frustration after missing one of his 13 shots he had against the Chicago Fire.

Today against DC United, however, Giovinco ended that goalscoring drought in style. In a first half that saw Toronto FC jump out to a 3-1 lead against DC, Giovinco scored twice, both goals coming from free kicks. Giovinco hadn't scored from a free kick this season, so he also broke that streak.

They were his 9th and 10th goals of the season to move him into a tie for third in the league in scoring. Added to that this year he had 7 assists, a category in which he sits tied for fourth in the league.

His first goal came in the 21st minute, when he was fouled on the edge of the area. From the left edge of the box, he curled it into the top left corner, beating Travis Worra in the DC net.

His second goal was even better, coming in the 39th minute. From the top of the box, he went across goal into the upper left-hand corner. It was probably the best goal he has scored for Toronto FC this season.
