On Saturday night, based on opportunity and chances, Toronto FC deserved three points. They dominated the first half of the match, but just couldn’t get the ball into the back of the net. The pace of the game opened up in the second half, with a gorgeous ball by Tsubasa Endoh, who set up Giovinco for the strike which was then cleaned up by the Canadian, Jordan Hamilton. Hamilton went onto run into the crowd and celebrate emphatically with the supporters on the south end of the pitch. To the dismay of the Reds, just minutes later they conceded a goal, tying up the match, which head coach Gregg Vanney attributed to a lack of focus after the game. Despite the game going back and forth and chances for both sides, 1-1 would prove to be the final score. TFC will be back in action on Saturday night at BMO Field against the bottom dweller of the MLS, the Chicago Fire.
