Toronto FC had their preseason marketing day today, during which they do a number of photo and video shoots to collect material with which to launch the new season.
It is unlikely they would schedule such a day without getting hold of this year’s kit for the players to wear, and perhaps inevitably a glimpse of it appears to have slipped on to social media. A couple of eagle-eyed fans spotted a previously unseen jersey in a Snapchat post by Armando Cooper, which - as far as I can tell - has since been deleted.
Surprise: it’s red!
More notable, of course, is that the dark grey neck trim appears to be back to match the Adidas stripes of the same colour down the sleeves. It also appears to be a slightly brighter red, though that may just be the light (or my eyes).
The sponsor is tough to make out, but there’s been no shortage of BMO branding around during preseason and no indication we should expect a change on that front.
