The international break looks to have served Toronto FC well, as a rested and near-full-strength squad downed D.C. United 2-0. It was the Reds’ ninth win of the season and they remain top of the table.

Jozy Altidore scored the opener, while Jordan Hamilton added another late in the match to put the game to bed. Sebastian Giovinco had a pair of assists.
