It went as expected for Canada as a dominating 5-0 victory over Dominica saw them keep their 100% record in the CONCACAF Nations League so far, and their goal difference rise to +13 after a second straight clean sheet for John Herdman’s men. They could hve had a few more goals on the night but the 5-0 victory sees them in 2nd place in the Nations League standings.
Incredible performances from youngsters Liam Millar, Jonathan David, Alphonso Davies and Ballou Tabla proved the difference for Canada, as the youth movement for Les Rouges is well underway.
Canada could've scored as many as 10 in this one as Lucas Cavallini and Junior Hoilett came close to scoring many times in the first half, and Cavallini could've had 5 on his own.
FT: — It’s all over here at BMO Field. Canada cruise to a 5-0 victory.

79’ — Russell Teibert had a chance to score but he couldn’t get his head on the chip over the defenders. He deserves a goal for all of his hard work tonight.

72’ — Dominica had their best chance of the night to score but the cross from the corner is headed over the bar.
71’ — Dominica looked like they were going to have a chance at goal, but Brault-Guillard sweeps it out for a corner.
67’ — Canada make their final substitution. Liam Millar comes off for Zachary Brault-Guillard.
66’ — Junior Hoillet has a glorious chance to make it 5 for Canada but heads it wide.
59’ — The Ballou Tabla and Alphonso Davies combination has almost linked up for a few goals already and they’ve only been on the pitch together for 5 minutes. Tabla looked to have scored a few minutes ago but it was called back for offside.
56’ — Ballou Tabla does about 25 step-overs but his cross is unable to find anyone.
54’ — Two changes for Canada. Lucas Cavallini and Jonathan David coming off for Cyle Larin and Ballou Tabla, who is making his debut for the CMNT.
47’ — Canada 4 - 0 Dominica — Dominica defender Malcolm Joseph puts one into his own goal after the ball comes back off the post and he can’t react quick enough. Unfortunate goal but Canada will take it.

Preview:
On Tuesday night Dominica will be at BMO Field to take on Canada on Matchday 2 of Concacaf Nations League action. Dominica, ranked nearly 100 places behind Canada, will likely struggle against the likes of Premier League winger Junior Hoilett and Barcelona B’s Ballou Tabla, so I think that a one-sided, high-scoring match could be on the cards.
Speaking of Tabla, the speedy winger, formerly of the Montreal Impact, only recently committed to the senior team, and will likely make his debut.
