Decision day in Major League Soccer has technically come and gone. For Toronto FC, however, it may describe many days over the next few months as they have some very difficult moves ahead.
Many of these challenges were outlined at the club’s end of season front office media availability on Tuesday. The club has 13 players under contract, but 11 more who are under club option for 2018.
Perhaps even more intriguing than who is coming back, however, because the club confirmed it is keeping the core intact, is which new players will join the fold. The club’s 2018 transfer targets were discussed at length at the season ending press conference.
Michael Leach of 680 News was at the media availability, and joins the Footy Talks Podcast this week to discuss some of the bigger talking points of Tuesday plus Monday’s players only presser.
They discussed Michael Bradley’s comments about certain players having “agendas”, the future of the club’s designated players, whether Drew Moor will be back and what the club plans to do about its obvious turf issues this past season.
